Knight of Wands

Knight of Wands
This young man is a traveler or an immigrant. He might be fleeing from something, but probably charging towards something.

He is a Flying Hussar of Jan Sobieski III.

The workings of Air by a special and mighty agent--for this the knight is in all cases--on the houses of water, here the Fourth and the Twelfth, causes turbulence, motion, emotion (though it must be borne in mind, that it is not emotion in itself); the action of the air on the water causes waves. In the case of the fourth house the knight relates to family matters or household conditions, eventually the father, to internal conditions in society or groups of people. It must further relate to memories and the past in general, because it means the awakening of the sentiments. The traditional conclusions have been drawn evidently in the negative for the greater part, in consideration of the fact that the sentiments generally are misleading. That they give reason for many changes is quite true. In the case of th…

Queen of Wands

Queen of Wands Where the king was seated on his throne with a solid background we see the Queen standing and behind her a sky filled with clouds. She is an honorable, economic, honest county lady.

A woman of economical habits, wealthy or desiring wealth, steadily resolved to get at riches, certainly not 'cheap; more or less artistic, may be a painter, dancer or musician; she is faithful, but may be subject to moods and changes of taste. Honesty may be certified, but not without a certain amount of egotism, e.g. materialism. She is very passive and cool, phlegmatic and not easily to be roused to passion, if ever. This of course makes the impression of 'chaste.' There is, however, a solid sort of sensuality. In strong cases there is real virtue. Banking, agriculture, art, capital, money. The latter more to be seen as 'money-matters' than as 'ready money,' and rather papers of value, shares, bonds, banknotes, than coined money. General Book of the Tarot by A.E. …

The Return of the Gnostics with Miguel Conner

King of Wands

King of Wands
The king of wands is a well intentioned but very serious country gentleman. He is a kind and generous father, he cherishes his marriage and holds his union sacred.
A governor, director of business, high official, postmaster, solicitor, manager, independent trader, Secretary of State, and the principles or functions for which they stand. The house of Mars imparts austerity, security and generally initiative and honesty; in weak cases there may be, however, some doubt with regard to his absolute integrity. He may be the authority, who concludes a union, viz. notary, clergyman or civil authority. In the church he is the High Priest, in the lodge the Grand Master. - General Book of the Tarot by A.E. Wands: The House of Air

Wands are the YOD position of the Tetragrammaton blueprint of the Minor Arcana. It is the masculine, the active position.

The air or atmosphere is the division between the firmament and the heavens. It is the place of the axis mundi, where the sacred meets the mundane. It is like the gnostic pleroma, it is the realm of the Kabbalistic Ein Sof - it is the realm of God's original perfect thought.

Air is the element of communication, and it carries the voice of the messenger.

A wand has many uses. It can be used to help you traverse difficult terrain, it can be used as a weapon. It is the symbol of the pilgrim. It is a tool of punishment and correction, we can make an undisciplined ass or an unruly child  pure through the strict application of the wand. It can also be used by the magician to cast a spell, or a prestidigitator for deceit.

The wand is a phallic symbol  and buds and leaves might still spring from the wand if fresh enough.

The Tetragrammaton: The Blueprint of the Tarot

The Tetragrammaton is a four character name of God. it is: YOD - HE - VO - HE

Papus did a very thorough examination of this in his work The Tarot of the Bohemians. I am greatly in his debt, a lot of my work is based on this work and I am presenting this in a very abbreviated form, with a little of my own spin on it.

**I included some episodes and a video  to flesh some of these ideas out at the bottom of this post.

This is not a card spread, even though it might look like it. This is they key to understanding how the cards relate to each other, and how the Minor Arcana and Major Arcana relate to each other. (I will explain the Vulgar Arcana in depth later).

Let's take a look at how the blueprint works! Here is the TAROT it lays out the cyclical mechanics of the tarot cards. The T starts at the 1st position and moves to the A at the 2nd position, which then goes to the third position, and then the O in the 4th position. However it is not complete, and finally ends back at the 1st posi…

The First Septenary of the Tarot: The Self

The First Septenary of the Major Arcana represents the development of the Self, the primal dramas of the ego. It is the journey of the individual of recognizing his or her own personal power and capabilities (Key 1—"The Magician"), making the conscious effort to pursue knowledge (Key 2—"The High Priestess"), manifestation of aspirations (Key 3—"The Empress"), and ultimately, to choose which path to walk, to choose between the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge (Key 6—"The Lovers"), and then to take the first steps forward on that path (Key 7—"The Chariot"). - Holistic Tarot: An Integrative Approach to using Tarot for Personal Growth

The Fool

The Fool
Observe this purple haired millennial walking off the cliff as he is transfixed with his device. On the screen we can see the four shapes that form the four Alchemical symbols of the elements an upright triangle for fire. An upright triangle with a line for air. An upside triangle for water. An upside down triangle with a line for earth. These elements are integral to the minor arcana and each one sorts with one of the suits. The Wands are the house of air. The Cups are the house of water. The Swords are the house of earth. The Coins are the house of Fire.
These elements also come together to form the Star of David, which links this character, who is immature, spiritually dumb and unexperienced here at the beginning of his journey to the enlightened Hermit later in the deck.

The Fool here has an unearned swagger, confidence and carelessness. Not in a stoic way, he is careless and overly confident in his ignorance and inexperience.
He is a representation of any normal man in th…

The Emerald Tablets of Thoth The Atlantian

This is a great story! The text says you must read the Emerald Tablets out loud, well mission accomplished! It is amazing just how many awesome lessons are hidden in and among the wild story of Thoth the Atlantean! These are lessons that can and probably should be applied to every days life. There is also a few new ways to look at our own personal reality in here!

Wisdom is power. Don't take pride in your wisdom. talk with ignorant people as well as the smart people. Speak up against evil.Follow your heart.Do more than what is demanded of you.Spend your money the right way. Share your resources with your friends.Seek out a spiritual guide or mentor. Those who are guided don't get lost, but those who are lost cannot find the right path.Don't listen to gossip and mind your own business. Silence is great. The senses are illusions. Turn thy thoughts inwards to find enlightenment.Light is the heritage of humans. Darkness is only a veil, a lie.
We go over the whole text, and then …
